Traditional groundwater monitoring methods can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. The MERATCH Pressure Level Sensor addresses these challenges by offering a fully automated solution. This innovative device continuously measures groundwater levels using a pressure transducer sensor and transmits the data wirelessly for secure access and analysis.

This automatic measuring station is an IoT device developed to monitor groundwater levels, specifically designed for scenarios where the sensor does not have a direct “line of sight” to the water due to curved pipes or when dealing with extremely deep wells (e.g., 50 meters depth). Unlike the MERATCH Water Level Sensor, which is wireless, the Pressure Level Sensor is wired to ensure reliable data transmission in these challenging environments.

MERATCH Water Level Sensor uses radar signals to detect the water level up to 23 meters, provided it has a direct line of sight to the water.

Its compact design, available in two versions, enables seamless installation in both narrow hydropedological probes with a 5 cm diameter and deep wells with a 200 mm diameter. This adaptability ensures that the device can effectively monitor groundwater levels in a wide range of environments, from shallow springs to deep aquifers. Whether it’s tracking water levels in a remote field or monitoring underground reservoirs, the MERATCH Pressure Level Sensor proves to be a versatile tool for comprehensive groundwater monitoring.

MERATCH Pressure Level Sensors are used when the water level is not directly in sight or when dealing with extremely deep water bodies

The MERATCH system goes beyond just a central server. It also includes user-friendly web and mobile apps for real-time data access from anywhere. The software provides powerful visualization tools to view data from multiple locations in clear graphs. This comprehensive approach empowers informed decision-making and facilitates a holistic understanding of groundwater conditions across various monitoring sites.

MERATCH devices come with a user-friendly mobile app to have data at your disposal

Here’s a simple breakdown of its main functions:

  1. Data Collection: The device continuously measures groundwater levels using a sensitive pressure transducer sensor.
  2. Data Recording: It keeps a log of these measurements, ensuring we have a detailed history of groundwater changes.
  3. Data Transmission: Using advanced NB-IoT technology, it sends this data to a secure server where it can be accessed and analyzed.

MERATCH Pressure Level Sensor stands out for several reasons:

  • Reliability in Extreme Conditions: It’s built to operate in harsh environments, from extreme cold (–20°C) to scorching heat (+50°C), ensuring uninterrupted monitoring.
  • Longevity: Designed to function for up to 5 years on its own power supply, it offers hassle-free long-term operation.
  • User-Friendly Software: The device comes with intuitive software that allows easy setup and data access via smartphone or computer.
  • Robust Security: Each station is password-protected and follows stringent cybersecurity protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Versatile Installation: Whether it’s a deep well or a shallow spring, our device can be easily installed and start monitoring right away.

One unique aspect of our device is its incorporation of GORE-TEX-like membranes, materials that are similar to the ones used in high-performance outdoor apparel to keep users dry and comfortable. These membranes act as a protective shield, significantly enhancing the durability and reliability of our measuring station. Just as they protect outdoor enthusiasts from the elements, these advanced materials ensure our device performs flawlessly in all weather conditions, making it a true game-changer in groundwater monitoring.

The MERATCH Pressure Level Sensor is not limited to groundwater monitoring. It’s also highly effective in monitoring curved pipes and extremely deep wells, springs, wastewater, and more. This flexibility makes it an indispensable tool for various industries and applications where precise and reliable water level measurements are critical.
